Stepbrother: Together Forever Read online

Connor reached out and stroked the warm skin of my thigh, enticing my desire even further.

I sat up and straddled him on the swing. His hands slid up my legs and rubbed the skin of my buttocks to give my rear a soft squeeze. My hands gripped his face tenderly as we exchanged kisses in the warm morning air.

His hands traveled up my body to cup my breasts beneath the shirt. He massaged me as I moved up and down in a gentle grind against his lap. I felt his member swell with life beneath me as I moved my hips around.

I reached down under me and rubbed the growing bulge. Connor gasped and squeezed my body harder. I flipped his trousers open to expose his hardness and allowed it to breathe in the morning air. The tip was moist with his juices and I stroked him to maximum desire. His hand gripped my hips and he laid his head back, breathing hard into the open air. With one hand, I stroked him and with the other, I touched myself. The throbbing heat within me began to grow.

I rubbed my nerves and my slit came to life, preparing itself for his hardness. From the way his body was jerking, I could tell he was ready. I intensified my stroke, using my entire palm to please him.

He moaned loudly and gripped my face, bringing me in for a hard kiss. He demanded nothing and said nothing, allowing me free reign to go at my own pace. I rubbed myself a little faster until I just had to feel him inside. Taking guidance of his shaft, I moved in closer until the tip rested against my moist slit. I teased us at first, rubbing the tip on the entrance before sliding him inside.

I smiled to feel him in me again and wasted no time taking what I wanted. I leaned in to kiss him, gripping his shoulders to steady my grind. Connor took hold of my arms and stared deep into my eyes as I arched my back and bounced lightly on him. I writhed, balancing a hand on his knees to keep from falling back. My moans came quickly with each grazing of his hard thickness on my nerves inside.

Connor studied my rhythm and with time, he started to join me. He rounded and tilted his hips with me, pounding me harder as I rode him. He drew me closer to devour my neck and nibble at my collar bone. His moans tore through his lips with each kiss. Once again we ascended together as we did the night before. Climax hit him first, the wet spurt sending me over the edge. I tightened my muscles around his shaft and reached the breaking point, flowing juices down his hardness.

I screamed into his shoulder, his arms holding me steady. He watched me as I came, his deep eyes studying my face and body. He smiled to me and we kissed again. And again.

By the time night fell, I was more madly in love with him than I’d ever been in my life.

I was a fool to think it would be so easy.

Connor and I laid together next to the fireplace surrounded by fleece blankets, pillows, and empty wine glasses. We wore minimal clothing, clinging to one another for warmth and passion.

The entire day was spent talking and catching up. My cheeks ached from laughing the day away with him and my body was exhausted from everything else we’d done to each other.

“I didn’t want to stray too far from home,” he admitted. “So when I found this place, I bought it.”

“It’s a wonderful cabin,” I said, looking around. “I hate that I had no idea you were here.”

“That was the point. Dad didn’t care where I went. As long as I was out and away from you.”

“As long as he could have me for himself,” I said quietly.

“I guess so,” Connor said. “But that’s over now.”

I kissed his forehead and stroked his chest. Then I pulled the blankets tighter around us and rested my head back down on the pillows.

“We couldn’t have known what he’d become,” Connor said. “It's not your fault.”

“I’ll never go back to him,” I said as I sat up to look him in the eyes. I brought his fingers to my lips and kissed them. “I’m yours, forevermore."

  “Together forever,” he said.

We spent the day exploring every piece of each other, making up for lost time. Our bodies would collapse from exhaustion, only to relapse back and start again.

In the night, the fire began to die as we ran out of fire wood.

Connor stood up, his tight body shining dimly from a heavenly mix of moonlight and fire.

“Must you go?” I asked, reaching out to him.

He pulled up his drawers and tossed a coat around his shoulders. “I’m not ready for this night to end,” he said. He dropped to his knees beside me and leaned in for another kiss. “And for that, we must keep the fire going.” He stood up and I chuckled at the thought. The happiest thought I’d ever had.

Connor opened the front door and walked out into the night. The wood pile was on the side of the house. He would not be gone long. I rolled over onto my side and looked into the fireplace. Dying embers turned orange and glowed with a pulsing power. I pursed my lips and blew a stream of air toward it and watched as it filled them with new, glowing life.

The door opened behind me and I smiled at the sound. “You’re back quickly.” I rolled over to face the door and let out a scream. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around my half-naked body.

“This is how you treat me?” Rupert growled. His cheeks and nose were beet red. His breath shot out of his mouth like a piercing dagger.

I stood up and took steps back until I hit the wall behind me with nowhere else to go. “Where is he?” I asked, feeling my chest tighten to a third of its normal size.

“I gave you everything,” he continued on and ignored the question. He took a large stride toward me then stopped.

“All the bruises and broken bones a daughter could ever ask for, right?” I said between baited breaths. My panic was returning, but I was determined to keep steady. “Where is my brother?” I asked again.

“Maybe he went out to hunt some game. Or practice on a few bottles and cans. Or to read a book on his porch swing,” Rupert whispered. “And wait for you to come out and whore yourself to him.”

“How long have you been here, dad?” I asked. Spare tears overflowed from my eyes, wetting my cheeks.

“I came looking for you. Searched the forest, for you. After you disappeared, I feared the worst,” he said. "And then I remembered this place.” He scanned the cabin with big eyes, as if to admire the foundation. “I almost believed him. And then I saw the cookie.”

He leaned down and picked up an empty saucer from the coffee table. “Tiny bites in a circle all the way around,” he said. “Only one person I’ve known does that. And that’s my daughter.” He paused to stare back at me. I said nothing and let more tears fall. “It couldn't have been coincidence. So I drove off, parked my truck in the woods, and came back.”

  “Get out,” I said.

“You are my daughter, Marnie,” Rupert said. "In time, I’m sure I will be blessed with the power to forgive you. Come back with me now.”

  “Never.”

He stepped forward and tossed the saucer at the wall next to me. It broke with a deafening shatter. I shrieked and shielded my eyes from the glass.

“Come back with me. Now,” he repeated.

I shook my head at him and leaned back into the wall so hard it was as if I wanted to fuse with it and disappear.

Rupert did not ask a third time. He never did. With another two strides, he closed the gap between us and grabbed my wrist. He yanked at me hard and I lurched forward, dropping my blanket to the floor. I was exposed, topless with only panties to conceal anything else.

“Do you like being his whore?” Rupert shouted. He reached out to my hair with his other hand and gave it a solid yank, pulling me toward the door. I screamed and punched and kicked, but Rupert easily possessed three times my strength. He grabbed my body and tossed me over his shoulder like a bag of laundry.

The door burst open and Connor ran inside. A bit of blood poured across his right eye from a fresh wound. He did not wait to try and reason with Rupert.

Connor raised a piece of firewood above his head and swung it at us
. Rupert had his hands full of me and could not block the blow. The log struck his face and Rupert dropped me down. I fell to the coffee table and broke two of its legs beneath my weight. It knocked the wind out of me and I winced at my previous wounds, still tender and bruised.

Rupert’s eyes grew with rage, blood flowed from his nose. He stepped toward Connor, fingers closed tightly in furious fists. Connor wasn’t quick enough to dodge him and found himself pinned against the wall by great strength.

I stood up from the floor, breasts and body still exposed, and turned toward the fireplace. The rifle rested above it, glowing in the dying light. If I didn’t act quickly, Rupert would surely kill Connor and take me back home.

I grabbed the rifle off the hook and placed the butt into my shoulder. I took a deep breath, wincing at the hard edges digging into my skin. I aimed for Rupert’s back. Just between the shoulder blades.

  Point and pull.

The scuffled ended in an instant, just after the bang. A calm silence fell over us all. For a second of time, the world stood still and doubt overcame me. In that second, a thousand scenarios played in my head. Did I miss? Had I shot Connor instead? Or had the bullet gone straight through and killed them both? I lost my air and had to force myself to breathe until the truth became known.

Rupert dropped to his knees and loosened his grip on Connor. He fell to the floor with a hard thud. Connor let out a deep sigh of relief and looked at me. I was frozen in my place, the rifle still up on my shoulder. Connor came towards me and placed one hand on the gun.

“Let go, Marnie,” he said. “It’s over.”

But something in me was not convinced it was. Even after Connor checked his unmoving pulse. Or after Connor dragged the lifeless body outside. No, I did not feel safe until we dug the hole in the woods and threw him inside. Six feet of dirt was what it took to convince me the ordeal was finished.

We had one scare. The town’s local sheriff surprised us one day. He said Rupert’s truck was found a few miles away and he'd been missing for weeks. I had known the sheriff. He had answered a few domestic disturbance complaints from our neighbors the last few years. He knew of Rupert.

When the sheriff saw me there, living in the cabin with my brother, he showed suspicion.

“Rupert did come by here once,” I said. “I ran away from him and came here. When Rupert found me he was angry, but I had made up my mind that I was not going back,” I told him. "He walked away.”

“Rupert walked away?” the sheriff asked with confusion.

“Yes,” I said. “I have not seen him since.”

Whether he believed me or not, that was the last we heard of anyone looking for Rupert. And it was the last of my days I lived in fear.
